Terms of Use

The rules for using IMPACTFEES.ORG, including our disclaimer. Last updated September 4, 2026.

Disclaimer

IMPACTFEES.ORG provides general information about development impact fees for planning and research purposes. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, engineering, or tax advice, and using the site does not create any professional relationship. Summaries of statutes and ordinances are our editorial reading, not the law itself; consult the official text and qualified counsel before acting on them.

Fee figures come in two forms, and both require verification. Sourced figures are compiled from official published schedules but can lag adopted changes, and project specifics (unit size, meter size, special districts) can alter what applies. Estimates are modeled figures, clearly labeled, and are not adopted rates. Always confirm current fees with the jurisdiction and utility before relying on them for underwriting, permitting, budgeting, or closing decisions.

Acceptance of These Terms

By using IMPACTFEES.ORG you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

No Warranty

The site and its content are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Fee schedules change; we do not warrant that any figure on the site reflects the rate a jurisdiction will actually charge.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IMPACTFEES.ORG and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, arising from your use of or reliance on the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

Acceptable Use

You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to disrupt or overload the site, misrepresent its content as official government publication, or use automated tools to scrape it at volumes that degrade service for others.

Intellectual Property

The site's original content, including its guides, compiled database structure, and estimate methodology, belongs to IMPACTFEES.ORG. Underlying government fee schedules, statutes, and ordinances are public records; our source links point to them. You may quote or reference the site with attribution.

Sponsored Content and Third-Party Links

Some pages carry clearly labeled paid placements. Sponsors do not influence fee data. Links to third-party sites, including official government sources, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Accessibility

We want IMPACTFEES.ORG to be usable by everyone, and we aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is audited and improved on an ongoing basis: pages work with keyboard navigation and screen readers, and the calculator offers address search as an alternative to the map. If you hit a barrier, please tell us through the contact form at the bottom of any page and we will work to fix it.

Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms by posting a revised version to this page with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
