- Water Connection Fee (Town of Bronson)$0.00Town of BronsonUnconfirmed. Town provides municipal water. CORRECTION 7/12/2026: the prior note claimed the connection fee is set by Res. 22-29 / Res. 24-17 and that those are unreadable image PDFs. Both were re-read this audit — Res. 22-29 (adopted 1/3/2023) renders fine and authorizes only PERCENTAGE increases to the monthly potable-water and wastewater RATES (water +5% eff 10/1/2023; wastewater +25% eff 3/1/2023 and a further +25% eff 3/1/2024). Res. 24-17 is a CPI increase to the same monthly rates. NEITHER sets a connection/tap/impact fee. The Town's New Utility Service Application lists only a refundable $100 water deposit and a $40 flat administration fee — no tap or capacity fee. A new-construction water tap fee is therefore not published anywhere online. Contact: Utility Clerk Candace Neal, 352-486-2354, utilityclerk@townofbronson.org; Public Works Dir. How impact fees work in Florida
Florida impact fees are one-time charges on new development, governed by Section 163.31801, Florida Statutes (the Florida Impact Fee Act). The statute requires fees to be based on the most recent and localized data, spent on the infrastructure category they were collected for, and adopted by ordinance.
Since 2021, the law also limits how fast fees can rise: increases up to 25% phase in over two years, increases of 25–50% phase in over four years, and increases above 50% are allowed only with a demonstrated extraordinary-circumstances study and at least a two-thirds vote of the governing body.
Counties and cities can both levy impact fees. Inside an incorporated city, a project typically pays the county's countywide fees plus any municipal fees the city has adopted, which is why totals differ between a city and the unincorporated county around it.
Frequently asked questions

Commercial development in Bronson pays $0.08 per square foot in impact fees, at least $4,000.00 for a 50,000 sq ft building. 2 additional fees have no published standard amounts and are not included, so the full cost may be higher; verify before budgeting.
Does Bronson charge its own impact fees?
Yes. Bronson levies its own municipal impact or utility fees, and county-levied fees also apply inside city limits. The schedule on this page shows every fee that applies to development in Bronson, with the combined total.
Can Florida impact fees increase at any time?
